Steve was someone I knew mostly after Paly. He lived just a block away. Son of a partner in the infamous Merrill Lynch financial institution in San Francisco, but did not care about that.

I knew Steve mostly in music. He had perfect pitch.....hit any key on the piano and he would tell you what it was, every time! I lost track; wonder if he ever did anything with this talent....

Steve and I actually went to sunday school together.  His mom, Florence, was a close friend of mine.  She and I did a lot of real estate deals together.  She redid the Downing House victorian on the corner of Cowper and Forest.

Steve and I were good buddies. His mom and my mom were both Real Estate Brokers. He truly was "that wild and crazy guy". Often Steve, Ron McKernan (Pig Pen) and I would go to the drag strip for the day. Also, I remember nights out with the boys around Halloween throwing water ballons and eggs at other teens doing the same thing. Great silly memories of our high school years. Steve has been gone a long while, such a shame.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was a member of those of us who smoked (cigarets!) off-campus at lunchtime, a dubious distinction certainly. We'd go over by the railroad tracks or under Alma St. if it was raining. I also knew him through Ron McKernan, who lived down the street from another friend near Guinda St. Steve was a fun, goofy guy with an easy laugh. I ran into him at our 20th reunion and was floored to hear he'd gone to Stanford. Had no idea he was that smart, as I'd not had any classes with him. He was a good guy, and it is sad to learn he's gone.

While in elementary school, Steve lived a block away from me.  We were preschool playmates. I remember we used to walk home from school together - one memory I have is that his mother made wonderful chocolate cake and that I was invited over for an after school snack.  I join those sorry to learn he is deceased.

My favorite memory of Steve Lynch was of him riding over to my house on a vintage Indian motorcycle. I think he said he borrowed it from his older brother (?) I remember the craziness!
