Larry died suddenly of a heart attack in his home in Pasadena at age 60.  He attended our 20th Reunion and then I saw him in 1999 at the SFO United Red Carpet room.  When I said, "Hi Larry" he asked "Do I know you?"  I didn't think I'd changed that much, he certainly had not!  We had a long chat about life since high school. He was married with two children, a successful attorney.  A few years later while in Pasadena with girl friends I decided to give him a call "for old times sake".  He seemed pleased and he and his wife took me on a tour of the city.  It came as a shock when his obit  was emailed around. I decided to attend his memorial and was able to visit with his 6 siblings and his mother.  His brothers all talked about growing up in Palo Alto and how Larry had picked little pink roses for his high school girl friend.  That was me...I really did believe I was going to marry him way back then!

I remember Larry when he was in High School and was on the international exchange program to Indonesia. I think he was the first one of us to travel outside the U.S. in one of these programs.  I was very excited about his experience and knew that I wanted to do some overseas work which I did after college in U.S. Peace corps in Micronesia.  Larry was a wonderful friend and a very good dancer.  So sorry to learn of his passing    Signe Krause Wheeler
