Karen & I were good friends in high school, & stayed in contact throughout the years.  We shared so many fun times in high school, Foothill Jr. College, my wedding, our kids getting together, etc.  She will always be remembered as a special friend.  I saw her right before she passed away of cancer in 2009.

Karen was one of those people who always made you feel like you were special. Always a smile. She had a glow about her the last time I saw her at a Paly reunion. Seemed like she was enjoying life. Sad that she is gone.

So sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She was a member of the group I hung out with then. We affectionately called her 'Mousie'from her other nickname Karen 'Mousinger.' She was fun and nice. I saw her at the 20-year reunion, and she looked happy - rest in peace, Karen.

Karen and I were all but inseperable during high school years. We cruised the hot spots, double dated, danced all night, went to Sheri's parties and shared our most precious secrets. I was in her wedding to Jim McCracken. His parents had the engagement party for my wedding. Karen was my matron of honor. We shared the birth of her daughter  Shannon and years of watching her grow into a beautiful young woman. Karen remarried and moved to Carmel where she spent many happy years. Just prior to her death she met and married her last great love. Karen had an interesting full life though way too short. She is missed.

Karen, aka Mousie, was one of my dearest friends in high school.  We cruised El Camino Real in my dad's Kaiser, ratted our hair within an inch of our lives, danced to all the hip tunes, and partied with "older men" from Stanford and Menlo College.  I was so thankful to re-connect with her at our 40th and was able to see her several times before her death.  She was truly happy with Lou and I'm thankful that she found such happiness in her personal life.  It's hard to write about her even now.  Rest in peace, dear friend.

Hello. I was the husband of Karen Meisenger, Class of 1963, who passed away in 2009. As one of her classmates (Lori Sherman [Day] says) in your PA high school class site, Karen and were truly happy. Just last month, in May 2017, I published my memoirs, which Karen had asked me to write shortly before she passed away. I dedicated my memoirs to her and the dedication page features a picture of her taken on our wedding day. My book is titled True North, Hunting Fossils Under the Midnight Sun, and in it I describe how Karen and I met and how happy our life together was. Near the end of my book there is a second photo of Karen, this time with me. My book is on Amazon at: http://amzn.to/2pm986h or simply search Amazon for my name. I’m sure her old friends would appreciate reading about our life together, so I request that you post my note on the Class of 1963 website under Karen’s name. Thank you.

Karen, my dear friend, I encountered my cancer in 2006, we spoke often during that time and before her passing. I live in Idaho and had been divorced for about 3 years.  Karen and I had so many adventures together during our Paly years.  The most memorable was a day we convinced her mother that I could drive a stick shift and also convinced her to let us take her car to Santa Cruz.  As we lurched out of the driveway and down the street I am sure her Mom had serious doubts.  Karen was certain that we could go to Half Moon Bay via the Alameda De Los Pulgas.  We had a horrifying experience at a 4 way stop on a hill.  We lurched across the intersection, and we laughed until we about peed our pants.  We made it back from Santa Cruz to Palo Alto with the car intact.  God blessed me with such a wonderful friend!  I do miss you Karen "mousie" and wish you could have joined our group reunion of girlfriends at my home here on the river in Idaho.  Love you always and miss you.  Sheri Ulander Breeding.
