I remember asking Carl Heaney to a dance, maybe Sadie Hawkins dance.  We had lockers near one another.

He was on the football team and he was shy.  Since I was very shy then too, our time at the dance was pretty

quiet.  he was kind and polite.   All these years later I served as a Minister of Wesley United Methodist church and

found in the roll book many of the Heaney family had attended that church, Carl too.

I will bring to the reunion a football program from a game Paly had with Cubberly with many of the guy's photosin in

it.  One of them is Carl.   Here is to a shy guy who was smart, played football and had many friends.
